In 2005, we did the Trans Siberian express and of that the Trans Mongolian version with as final destination Beijing.
We went with the train from moscow and stopped on the way in Irkutsk and Ulaanbaatar. After that we take the last train to Beijing We visited the mongolian railway museam in Ulaanbaatar
